Is there a way to automate export and import the archived items from a Journal

Hi All,

Is there anyway to automate export the archived items from a Journal archive account and import the pst files into a Exchange mailbox biweekly.

(other than using Archive Shuttle or Transvault like EVPM script)

Thanks in advance

Well importing it in to another archive will still have the same methods to search, unless you wanted to go e her virtual vault in outlook But yes DA is the defacto standard when it comes to EV and searches for legal and compliance reasons, especially it you are searching millions of email, it's not exactly quick, but it's neater and a damn site quicker than exporting and importing

What's the use case?  Seems like a strange request and if you share the use case maybe we can offer a better alternative.

Any how, you are not going to be able to automate an export using EV's native tools.

well the import side you can "Automate" that through windows scheduler and EVPM Script, and that is pretty viable, but agreed with tony, its a bizarre request

Thanks Tony and JesusWept2.

Below is the actual requirement.

An user wants to search an Journal archive account bi-weekly. Currently the user searching through the web link (Archive Explorer), she is not happy with this method as it is too slow.

so i thought to create a mailbox, export the items from Journal account and import the same in the above said mailbox and enable archving for this mailbox.

Is the DA client is better to install in user PC?

In my opinion if you need to do review then you need DA.  I would never recommend what you are trying to do.

there's no question in my mind that you need DA for this
