Journaling mail issue

My organization has Exchange 2000 in place and we are in the processing of upgrading to Exchange 2007. Exchange 2007 is installed and in place but we are in the process of moving mailboxes over to the new infrastructure. I am experiencing a journaling issue that basically began this past Monday. Originally, I found all mail items to not being processed. I stopped and restarted the journaling task and the mail started processing. However, mail from Monday is not being journaled. The current mail is being processed. There is over 400 items that will not process out of the journaling mailbox and when I perform a search for mail on Monday (September 22), I do not have any returns. Can someone please help? Try this:

Stop the Journaling task. Delete and recreate the Journaling Mailbox Target(from the EV Admin Console). Start the task. Let me know how it goes.

I'm sorry.  I stopped the journaling task and recreated the journaling mailbox target and it did not resolve the issue.

 

Does anyone else have anything else I can try to resolve this issue?

Hi,

Get a dtrace of the journal task as it starts up (since it should be trying to process those message) and send it to support along with the subject of some of the items not being processed.
