MSMQ stays in Starting mode.

Hi All,

In recent past i have notice a very strange issue with my archiving server every alternate day i when i come in office in morning i notice that MSMQ says it is stuck in starting mode and making EV task controller and EV storage service to stop.

When trying to kill MSMQ it won't still stop the sevice so i end up re-installing MSMQ service and all looks fine again.

I have windows 2003 R2 and EV 9.0.2 with 8 Gb of memory on it. As storage i use EMC centera Box to keep the data and index is saved on a netapp LUN.

While checking eventvwr i notice this Event on a frequent basis.

I had that too happening. It truns out MSMQ was corrupted (not sure why).

A re-install of MSMQ fixed it.
