Mail status changing unread to read after acvhiving

Hi All,


I am using EV 8.0 SP3 on windows server 2008. There is problem that if any unread item(s) archived it will show as read item in the archive after syncronization. So it is dificult to find for users that which mail he or she mark for unread. 

I have a policy that archive unread itmes also.

Please someone suggest me how to resolve this issue.

Hi,

Where are you saying they show as Read?  In Outlook or search or archive explorer or virtual vault?

Are they showing as read in Virtual Vault?  If so, that is by design... the metadata relating to read/unread state is not stored.
