Mailbox Targeted in Archive task higher than actual mailboxes on the Exchange mailbox server

Some of the archive task reports are showing target mailboxes as 5k to 7k. But the actual number of mailbox in any of those exchange servers is no less than 4k.

Alot of mailboxes have been moved from those servers to a Exchange 2013 environment that doesnt use EV.

Provisioning task completes on a daily basis without any error.

Is there anything else we need to check for this number to show correctly?

Have you disabled the users in EV before migrating their mailboxes to Exchange 2013?

No, the mailboxes being moved are in bulk so can we do this for bulk mailboxes?
