Mailbox - provisions ok but won't show as enabled/disabled

(ev 2007 sp2 - exch2k3 sp2)

I had a mailbox that I think was disabled PRIOR to the EV implementation. Yesterday, when I checked, it was showing as NEW. The account had been set to be hidden from the address book.

When I go to try and include it on a manual run, it doesn't show up. Nor will it now show up on either enabled, disabled, or new lists. I changed the account to show in the address book. No change. I enabled in AD. No change.

Ran a provisioning run, with detailed report, and the mailbox shows just fine. There is also an archive created yesterday when I enabled.

I can't seem to get my arms wrapped around this one. I peeked in the database at the mailbox table, and sure enough, it's in there.

Any insight would be appreciated.

when it was showing as new, i was able to enable it just fine. it was after this that it "disappeared" from sight...

OK,

What is the status of the mailbox and account now?
Disabled and Not hidden from the GAL?

You could try and delete it from the ExchangeMailboxEntry table, run a synchronize and see if that resolves your issue. (this is assuming the mailbox is not hidden and not disabled)

currently, it's NOT hidden and ENABLED. Tried running synch after enabling/unhiding...didn't show. a little "nervous" about deleting table entries...

you can safely remove the entry in the ExchnageMailboxEntry table.  The Sync repopulates it.  I often have to blat entire ExchnageMailboxEntry as after years it contains old legacy data.

All you need to do is remove the one user in question :)

Symantec support is actually an answering machine which always gives the same answer ;) ;)
