I have two separate Exchange environments, and each has its own EV.  What is the easiest to migrate one archive from one system to another?

Hi,

Typically it's a case of exporting archives to PST and moving them over to the new system and importing them in there.

All we do is migrate user between archive systems and to us the archives within EV is the same project.

We will also update the user shortcuts to point to the new archived data. It is all transparent to the end user as well. Feel free to reach out for more information.

Thanks a lot. I will contact you guys when we're ready to migrate.

Actually, my concern is really the shorcuts. First, we will exmerge the user mailbox in Exchange to a PST, which the PST will contain the shortcuts and then export the user archive in EV to PST as well. Second, we will then import the exmerged PST to the new user mailbox in a different Exchange system ; afterward, the user archive PSTs will be imported in a different EV system.  We thought about restoring all archived items in the existing EV back to the mailbox and then running an exmerge. However, this is impossible because the user archive is quite large.

There is a more seamless way to do this. Please feel free to reach out when ready and we can provide details.

Hi,

EV will fix up the shortcuts on the other side as part of the import process.

How does EV fix the shortcut part in the import process?
