Migrated Users Permissions Missing

Mark_Solutions

Situation as follows:

EV 9.0.3 on Windows 2003 archiving from Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010.

The syncinmigrationmode set to 1 initially and currently at 2.

EV Mailbox has been migrated to Exch 2010 and PS1 scripts have been run

When the sync is set at 1 users migrated from 2003 to 2010 get just the Everyone Denied permission on their archive.

When the sync is set at 2 users migrated get no permissions shown at all on their archives.

Any idea what has been missed?

Thanks

Thanks for the advice - a lot of stuff in the log that i cannot post on here but maybe these are the lines of real note that stand out:

354 14:24:24.880  [4700] (AgentClientBroker) <1608> EV:M EX2KMBXPERM::GMSD[/o=OURDOMAIN/ou=CENTRAL/cn=RECIPIENTS/cn=FRED.BLOGS] - Failed to list mailbox permissions whilst synchronizing due to a missing Active Directory attribute: msExchMailboxSecurityDescriptor
355 14:24:24.880  [4700] (AgentClientBroker) <1608> EV:H {CMailboxPermissions::GetSecurityDescriptor:#236} Error [0x80040c9b]

377 14:24:32.193  [4700] (AgentClientBroker) <1608> EV:M {CMailboxUsage::RemoveUserFromList:#113} Removed [/O=OURDOMAIN/OU=CENTRAL/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=FRED.BLOGS] from list of mailboxes being processed. List now contains [0] mailboxes.

Digging leads me to it being covered in this tech note - says it is caused by Exchange System Manager 2003 being installed and it needs to be removed as it is no longer needed.

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH153019

A check shows that this is the case so it will be removed as soon as a change process allows it and the EV Server reboot

I will report back to confirm that this was the issue once that has been done.

Just to confirm that the issue was resolved by removing the Exchange 2003 System Manager from the EV Server.
