We currently are using SEV 8.0 SP3 in an Exchange 2003 organisation in Domain A. Following a merger we now have another AD domain with a Exchange 2007 organisation in Domain B with the usual 2 way transitive trust. We ae now embarking on migrating user objects and mailboxes from Domain A to Domain B but still ensuring that the migrated mailboxes still have access to their archives on the SEV server in Domain A. process:
In setting up the SEV the literature indicates that the synInMigration reg key needs to be set and copy hidden message using mfcmapi. The question is what are the names of these hidden message(s), where do I locate them using the mfcmapi utility and will the hidden messages not be migrated with move mailbox task. Can someone send me a link for a definitive document that outlines all the steps please.
Kind regards
Donfrico

the mailbox using evpm and reenable it after the zap.
Then map the existing archive

When a user is enabled for archiving a hidden message is stored in the inbox. This hidden message basically saves configuration information that we require for Enterprise Vault to function. Such examples are:-
1. The archive ID for that User
2. The retention Category for that User
3. The URL to use for Enterprise Vaults Web Access Applications
4. What happens when users open a shortcut in their mailbox
etc.
