Migration of file server cluster

Hi, 

I have planned migration of 4 node file server cluster to new cluster. File server target names will stay the same (example \\FS01\Legal) and drive letters will also stay the same. I was wondering if this was the proper way for migration

1) Create new WFC cluster

2) Migrate file server roles to new cluster

3) Add EV service account as local admin on clustered servers

4) Install FSA agent to new servers from EV console

5) FSA cluster configuration from EV console

Are these migration steps OK or are there any pitfalls I should be aware of?

Hi,

The steps look fine assuming that you are going to present the existing LUNs to the new cluster and all data including placeholders.

thank you. Yes, we plan to reconnect existing luns with plaće holders to the new cluster.
