Hi all,
One of our customer want to migrate the databases of his Enterprise Vault 10.0.4 CH3 environment, from sql server 2005 sp4 to sql server 2012 sp2.
Compatibility chart says that use of supplementary characters in the range U+10000 to U+10FFFF are not supported, i'm going crazy searching some official document to explain my customer what exactly means and which are these supplementary characters.
Is there someone that can help me understand.
Thanks in advance

Hi there,
Were you able to sort this out? Hopefully this might help a bit, https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143726.aspx#Supplementary_Characters but your customer should have SQL DBA that knows what this means.

Hi Tony,
Yesterday i downloaded the unicode chart from http://www.unicode.org/Public/6.0.0/charts/ and checked which characters are contained in the range U+10000 -> U+10FFFF.
We can rule out that this compatibility exception can somehow have a negative impact on our SQL migration.
Thanks
