Hello Mohawk,
Thanks for the link. The document itself, I can get, it is the downloading of the actual hotfix that fails with an error. Can you try downloading the actual fix, see if that works for you?

haha sorry Gertjan, i have the sa,e problem downlpading the zip file.
09-20-2010 06:46 AM
..and I can't download the ZIP file either! Also, Move Status = Failed in Move Archive Status window;
I now have a closed archive on my source EV Site and a new archive open on my target site but with over 900MB missing!
Does anyone know how I can make the closed Archive open once again on the source???
09-20-2010 06:56 AM
Hello BatmanFail.
The old archives is closed, and will be accesible via virtual vault, archive explorer, searches. NEW archived items will go into the new archive. When the fix is posted again, reprocess the move. That should (!) update the new archive with the remaining items....
I hope and pray it will. Perhaps you can try a move back from the new to the old one?

It's looking real messy right now ;)
I'm going to try reprocessing the move after the hotfix. The user has access to search the closed archive, but no buttons for archiving to the new one, so assume it should be OK to let the new target EV system process any other email this evening. I guess if all else fails I can export to PST and import into the new archive. It's not as smooth as we are made to believe :(

I opened a support case, and the person handling will send me the hotfix.

Another issue occurred.
Case 412-816-896
The retrieval code when fetching the item is doing an MultiByteToWide() function call to convert an ANSI character string to a wide-character (Unicode) string conversion using this duff code page value. The call to MultiByteToWide () is failing with the "The parameter is incorrect. [0x80070057] error" and this error is then causing the storage code to abort the retrieval operation and propagate the error back to Move Archive Task as indicated in the Move Archive report log. The offending code is in EVStgAPI/CMAPISaveset::ExtractCodepage() method.
For this archive, I am using export to pst, disable for archiving, enable for archiving, create new archive, import pst.

Issue however not solved with hotfix. Will post back when solution for issue is available.
