Move EV and SQL to new domain

was reading through http://www.veritas.com/community/sites/default/files/EV%20How%20To%20Guide%20-%20Moving%20an%20Enter... to move EV to a new domain. when you are moving SQL to new domain at the same time though how does EV access the directory? do you have to manually update the registry then start EV services, then change to the new VSA ,then update the rest of EV to point to SQL server? this would be for staying on the same SQL server and moving it to new domain.

also, what if you are migrating new a new SQL server in a new domain? you need EV services running and able to talk to SQL to update to the new VSA.

What I have done on the past is backup the SQL databases, then move the both servers to the new domain. Make the nessecary changes to SQL then start up the EV server and make those nessecary changes.

https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.TECH35744#Step_5 discribes what need to be done on the SQL side. I have never used the EV tool provided by Veritas, always done it manually.

Once the changes are done via continue with the document you have read. 

Provided that you perform the SQL changes first you should be ok. Again just make sure you have all you backups done.
