Move Vault stores to a different EV server

How do you move the vault stores to a new EV server? I followed this technote - http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/273271.htm - but I don't have anything in the EnterpriseVault directory because it is a new install. I can't find anywhere how to add the vault stores to the new installation.

If you installed a new EV server and you cannot see *any* vault stores from any of the other servers, then it sounds like you created a new site as opposed to joining that server to the old site, you cannot move vault stores from one site to another.

The best you can do is uninstall EV completely, and then reinstall and when you run the configuration get it to join an existing site, not create a new one

In addition to what JW2 said, what is exactly you are trying to accomplish?  I think you might be wanting to a server move and are going about it the wrong way.  If you tell us a bit more about what you want to do then maybe we could help you do it the easiest way possible.

I want to move the server but I don't want the FSA reporting to come over because it is corrupted and I just want the vault stores. I tried the server move from the technote and it brings over the FSA reporting error.

what is the FSA reporting error that you are seeing?

to be honest, i'm a little confused as to the whole situation, but we should probably just troubleshoot one error at a time

The FSA error is EV cannot access the FSA Reporting WEb service. EV may not display the vorrect FSA Reporting Settings. I have tried several things to get it to work and it does not. So, I decided to build a new server and start over. I did the move server procedure outlined in the technote but it brought over the FSA error. So, my next step to try is to just bring over the vault stores over.
