Move journal mailbox to another Exchange server in the same Organization

Hi All,

I want to move the journal mailbox to another Exchange server in the same Organization.

What I think is :

1) Create storage group and mailbox store in ESM for the new Exchange server

1) Stop the journaling task in EV console.

2) Move the journal mailbox to another Exchange server in ESM.

3) Configure the journal mailbox properties in EV console for the new Exchange server

4) Start the journaling task in EV console.

Correct ??

Please help.

In step 4, I assume part of that is to add the new Exchange server as a Target, correct

Hi,

Actually, I have added the second Exchange server as target.

But I didn't config any Journal Mailbox as this moment because I have to do the move journal mailbox action first.

You should have no issues with that process.  I have done this before and have not had issues.
