Move placeholder

Hi,

Is it possibile to move the placeholder from a share to another share with the same structure?

As I understand it's seems that is not possibile...

No not have an ArchivePoint as the -pm will move the original ArchivePoint over with the PHs.

All you need to ensure is that both shares are an FSA Target in the VAC.

 

So \newfileshare must be a target volume under \\fileserver.

Hi,

 

Yes that is entirely possible and -pm is exactly what you want/need.

 

Simply use something along the same lines as below:-

fsautility -pm -s "\\fileserver\fileshare" -d "\\fileserver\newfileshare"

The above will move all Placeholders from -s to -d and will create the same folder structure if it is not already present.
