Moving VSA User Profile off of C Drive Question

In the past I have moved the VSA User Profile off of the C drive. I am proposing to do this in a current environment, but I can't find a technote that explains why.

I did find this

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH61099

The Vault Service Account (VSA) temp directory contains many ExchangePerflog*.dat files and is filling up the drive

But it references Outlook 2003. I'm using Outlook 2007.

Any guidance appreciated!

Thanks!!

The main thing I have always just done is to move the Temp location, not the entire profile.

This doc gives the recommendation:
