Netapp encryption

Hello all,

Does anyone know if there is an effect on EV functionality/performance when Netapp is going to be configured with encryption?

EV11/12 data (for static environments) is stored on Netapp's. We're migrating data of the Netapp to Exchange, and a new EV, but will not be ready before the encryption is going to be enabled. I assume the Netapp will do the encrypt/decrypt itself, but I have no experience with this.

could you gather informations on this one?

I would guess Netapp is handling encryption/decryption itself. Only influence could be that recalling processes could take a longer time. (maybe running into timeouts)

no information found/received really. The netapps having 'my' data re being done last, so for now, I'm good.

We'll be switching to Isilon some time in the next months anyway.
