Hi,

I'm experiencing exactly like this, https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/owa-2010-ev-2010-archived-item-currently-unavailable .

Here is my my story.  We are currently in  the process of moving from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010.

Setup:

1 enterprise vault server = doing archiving on exchange 2003 ;  upgraded to version 9.0.3 a few months ago in preparation for the Exchange 2010 implementation.

1  Exchange 2003 Front End Server

1 Exchange 2003 BackEnd Server

1 Exchange 2010 Cas / Hub server

1 Exchange 2010 Mailbox Server

Some details:

  • Access to archive via Outlook is ok.
  • OWA 2003 access to mailbox not yet transferred to exchange 2010 is still ok.
  • From OWA 2010 Archive Explorer is ok
  • From OWA 2010 can view item if i select "Click here to preview the original item"
  • From OWA 2010 can not restore or archive  -  no accessibel vaults
  • Explicitly added <add key="EnterpriseVault_ExchangeWebServicesUrl" value="https://myexch2010casserver/ews/exchange.asmx"/>
  • Enable logs on CASServer; i see it is retrieving hidden messages from web services
  • at the end;
  • 31/10/2012 08:40:06 [2696,18] [Id::OwaId] Not enough information to be able to convert to OwaId
    31/10/2012 08:40:06 [2696,18] [RequestProcessor::ProcessRequest] Archive Mailbox: False
    31/10/2012 08:40:06 [2696,18] [RequestProcessor::ProcessRequest] Setting response filter: Premium.WunderBar
    31/10/2012 08:40:06 [2696,18] [ImpersonationManager:StopImpersonation] Stopped impersonation
    31/10/2012 08:40:06 [2696,18] Request processing finished
    31/10/2012 08:40:06 [2696,18] #############################################################

Please advise what else to check.

TIA.

JoJo

Basic things to check:

- the ExchangeServers.txt on the EV server contains all of the IP address of the CAS servers for exchange 2010 servers, frontend and backend exchange servers for exchange 2003?

- You have re-run the oawuser.wsf with the change made to ExchangeServers.txt above?

- Have you configured the web.config on the CAS servers ok? can you post the <AppSettings> section of the web.copfig?

- The user that you are testing, is the mailbox on the exchange 2010 mailbox server and is the exchange 2010 mailbox server being targeted for archiving?

- Is this for internal OWA access or/and external?

- Enable the OWA logging on the CAS server and post the full EV OWA log file.

hi guys , thanks for the responses.

@LCT,

i was able to make it work.

first, i failed to  re-run the oawuser.wsf with the change made to ExchangeServers.txt .

to make it work for external access, had to add,

<add key="EnterpriseVault_ExternalHostNames" value="mail.mycompany.com"/>
<add key="EnterpriseVault_ExternalWebAppUrl" value="http://mail.mycompany.com/enterprisevault"/>

Thanks again
