Offline Vault enabling problems

 Hello,
EV is installed and running  since years in our environment but only recently it was decided to enable offline vault for some of the users.
We have a really heterogeneous environment (mapi, imap, pop,....)
We use EV 7.5 Sp2 for exchange and our Exchange servers are configured with Exchange 2003
So I first tried it in my test environment ( EV 7.5 SP2 and outlook add-in 7.5).
There I can enable offline vault without problems in outlook via tools\ev options\....
Unfortunately in my productive environment ( EV 7.5 SP2 and outlook add-in 8) I don't get this option under tools\ev options\.... anymore.
Should I use another path to enable offline vault ?
My both EV Server are configured exactly the same way.
Could someone give me a hint in which direction I should be looking in order to solve this.

If you want to view this option you must set it using ev policy.

Thanks for your quick answer but unfortunately I don't see where I have to set it in the Policy tab.
If you could say me where I would really appreciate as I'm already searchibg in this Policy since days and i didn't see any significant differences with my test domain.

With a EV2007 server, you can only use the EV2007 EV clients to use Offline Vault.

The EV8 client will only work with an EV8 server.

You can however use the Ev2007 EV client with a EV8 server.
