Old archives with no index and no provisioned

Hi All,

there is another thing would be nice to resolve. I've found around 1200 old archives, with no indexes, no longer being provisioned.

The only thing I can do with them is export to pst.

Is there any other way to index them and make available for searching/browsing (in case of legal cases)?

Thanks,

Mike

Ok, it's a long story, but finally ran Synchronization and indexing service picked up all the archives.

Thanks!

Hi Mike,

You should be able to rebuild the index(es) for those old archives.

already tried to rebuild with no luck - no errors, and no items.

But exporting to PST as performed with one random archive gives me >2GB PST with 8000 items archived.

When rebuilding such an archive, can you determine the physical index-location for that archive?

If so, do you see items in there when rebuilding? I have found that sometime you need to start a rebuild, stop it, empty the index-folder, then restart it. Then an index is created.

It's also unvailable as index is marked as not yet created.
