Could someone tell mw exactly what the oldex index items actually means.  I have user who shows old mail which is beyond the configured expiry as being the oldest item but I cannot find that item in their archive?

Thoughts.

It is the date of the oldest item in their archive.  Is expiry based on the Modified Date or Archived Data?

What version of EV? If you do a search of their archive and sort by item date oldest first do you see it?  It could be their Index needs updated.  Also, it could be a mal-formed mail that actually isn't that old, just has the wrong date on it.
