I have vault enterprise server 8SP4, I have tried to install vault client ver 9.01 and ver 9.02 with outlook 2010 SP1 (windows 7), and after installation I don't see any icons at toolbar for vault in outlook. I saw that vault client 9.01 and 9.02 supports outlook 2010. So what I did wrong ?
I can unvault archived emails, but there aren't any icons in outlook for search etc.
I installed HTTP version.

Re:
how can I zap more mailbox about 100 ? with .ini I can zap one mailbox at once.
First of all I would suggest zapping ONE mailbox and seeing whether it fixes the underlying problem. Zapping all/lots is a matter of modifying the file, so that it has an LDAP query or even ALL specified. I wouldn't suggest leaping forward to that though, until you have seen it "fix" one problem mailbox.

Sure you are trying with an EV enabled user isn´t it?
Sorry for the question but is required.
If the user is enabled what does the client log say.
To obtain the client log, open a explorer %temp%, and search for the ev_client_log_date.txt
Any error there?
Hope it helps

yes, I'm trying with an EV enabled user. I thought that this is only one accident but I tried with 5 users and it's the same problem.
I will check tomorrow what is in client_log

You know that there is no toolbar really in Outlook 2010? It's a ribbon :
And to clarify .. you installed the HTTP extensions, right?

log from %temp%

That and the client trace is suggesting you have an EV7 server server

and how can I change it ? Administration Console says its version 8.0.4.1991

can you manually synchronize that mailbox through Mailbox Archiving task?

The ev_client_log reveals very useful information
Do the following:
Disable the mailbox from the EV console, zap the mailbox and then re-enable it in the new environment.
Zapping is removing EV-properties from a mailbox (ie removing the hidden EV messages)
See http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH35614 and http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH50905

So this is the issue :
This version of the Enterprise Vault add-in is not compatible with the Enterprise Vault server (V7)
So, I'd suggest ...
Try an ONLINE Outloko profile, if you are in cached mode.
Change the logging level to 3 (you set HKCU\Software\KVS\Enterprise Vault\LoggingLevel to 3, create it if you need to, it's a DWORD)
Restart Outlook and see if there is more information in the client log
As Gonz suggested, the value of the EV Server version is being read from the hidden message... and / or there is an error coming back from reading the hidden message. [Synchronising, and/or zapping are options]
