Outlook Add In EV 8

Hi All -

I am running Enterprise Vault 8.0  SP4.    I am still in test mode, and as a test I selected myself as the first user.    I am running Windows 7 32 bit, using Outlook 2007.   When I try to install the Outlook Add-in, I get a Microsoft CRT error and the install doesnt complete.

"An error occured during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC90.CRT, Version='9.0.......etc.   
Please refer to Help and Support for more information HRESULT: 0x80070BC9"

It then rolls back the install.

If you have not, you might try a reboot and then give the installation another go. 

Have you had any issues with any other installers?

Sadly, this is a Windows issue. Has nothing to do with the EV Plugin.

I had this error(HRESULT: 0x80070BC9) on a fresh Windows 7 installation when trying to install Microsoft Dynamics Nav.

I solved it with a reinstall of Windows :\


Trying google, this error has been in windows since windows nt..

Seems to be a corrup vc++ installation. Check out this: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlserverfaq/archive/2010/04/23/sql-server-2005-setup-fails-on-windows-2008-due-to-corrupt-vc-component.aspx Just use VC9 instead of 8 Cheers Just use Vc9 instead of 2005
