Outlook Stops and says it is due to EV add in

Dear all,

On a laptop Windows 7 32-bit.

We are using Outlook 2010 client.

Latest version:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2598318

Still Outlook stops within 5 to 10 minutes.

When restarting it says "EV add-in" is the problem.

EV version 9.0.1.1073. (Edited to complete)

When we do not use cached mode there is no problem.

Conclusion we are not able to use OST on a laptop.

Be aware that this is with a small number of users. Most do not have this issue.

Repairing OST is not gonna help, we tried that one already (running scanpst sefferal times until twice without errors)!

Removing and let outlook rebuild a new ost does not solve this iisue.

We use McAfee as an antivirus on the workstation and Ironport Sophos from Cisco for email.

I would actually skip the 9.0.4 client - put on the new unified 10.0.1 EV client from here - http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH192510 and install the 9.0.1 patch to support the new unified client - http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH175939

You don't mention your EV version, but if you are running on EV10, I would recommend to start with the latest client:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH192510

If you run EV 9, download the latest client here:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH193522
