I know similar problems with Microsoft OS when "authorized" user has no permissions to the Path were the Enterprise Vault Agent is installed.
I am not familiar with IOS but this could maybe give you a hint.

Hello,
Check if in the Mac OSX key chain you have the EV credentials saved, likely they could be wrong.
In that case delete the entry from the keychain, restart Outlook and the EV Mac OSX client and try again.
