PST Migration & Reminder Messages

I have seen several threads around this issue, but none appear to be fixed and they all mention a fix in SP2.

I am running EV 2007 SP3, and after migrating PST's am seeing 'loads' of reminders which have previously been dismissed apparently re-activated during the PST migration.

I am Windows 2003 server, Windows XP Pro on the desktop, and Outlok 2003 & 2007 (same results).

Did this ever get sorted out ?

As per the previous threads I have the same settings as the guys regarding ARCHIVE UNEXPIRED CALENDER EVENTS (OFF) and DO NOT ARCHIVE PENDING REMINDERS (ON).

Regards,

AJ

For the PST migration issue: check the message classes selected on the PST import policy. I think that if you choose to delete a PST file post migration, any items in that PST file that aren't archived are moved back to the user's mailbox. If you don't have calendar items selected, they will be moved back to the user's mailbox and they will get lots of reminders.

I'm not sure about the issue that Fire Brigade Guy is having.

I'm running EV 8 SP5 and also have this issue!

I keep seeing plenty of threads but no definitive resolution.

My scenario is such:

We're currently migrating users from our 2003 terminal server environment running office 2003 to a 2008 terminal server environment running office 2010.

A number of users have reported that once migrated they are seeing loads of old (and dismissed) reminders appearing. They are unable to dismiss the reminders (they just reappear again).

If I clean out the reminders it's fine for that day but they will appear again the following morning.

I've extracted one of the messages from a users mailbox to get further information and found this:

<property tag = "0x001A001F" type = "PT_UNICODE">

                        <ExactNames>PR_MESSAGE_CLASS_W, PidTagMessageClass</ExactNames>

                        <PartialNames>PR_MESSAGE_CLASS, PR_MESSAGE_CLASS_A, ptagMessageClass</PartialNames>

                        <Value><![CDATA[IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.Shortcut]]></Value>

                        <AltValue>cb: 66 lpb: 490050004D002E004E006F00740065002E0045006E00740065007200700072006900730065005600610075006C0074002E00530068006F0072007400630075007400</AltValue>

            </property>

Does anyone have a fix or at least root cause for this?
