Hi!

I would like to ask for help.

We have pilot EV8. All permissions for Vault account in place. When I tried to use PST client migration for for one user, pst file was found , message sent to user mailbox but nothing happened. I checked user registry and did not find Last PST Search entry. What found on client log is
"Could not contact the EV web server"
"PSTMIG: Connection to web server not available - PST Importer sleeping for 30 minutes"

Desided to create another PST file and try it. In that case PST locator even did not find this file even found computer and Search for PSt file is selected.

Do not know where to start to troubleshoot

Firstly take a look on this website in the articles section as there are some very good documents that have been uploaded regarding how migration works etc. Have a look at those and once you understand the process you can troubleshoot accordingly.

Client Migration does not utilize the PST Locator task.
As Paul suggests, have a look at the Articles, in particular this one:
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/migrating-pst-files-symantec-enterprise-vault-2007

which is still applicable to v8.

As to your error: Are you able to launch the Outlook integrated EV Search?
Are you able to archive and retrieve items?
