PST migration report shows wrong details

Hi

Ac customer archiving PST files, in the reports we see the following:

Items archived: 0 (of 53524)
 Items failed archiving: 0
Items not eligible for archiving because of PST Migration Policy setting: 53524

Items moved to mailbox: 53524 (of 53524)
 Shortcuts created: 0
Other items moved to mailbox: 53524
Items not eligible for moving: 0

But - when looking in the user outlook - we can see that the items were archived, as we see the folder created correctly and items have the stubs correctly as well.

Any known reasons for the report file to show this?

Thanks

Could it be they were archived by the automatic archiving run?  You can look at the archiving report and\or view the modified date to see when the shortcuts were created.

Could be message classes that aren't included in the policy.

Tony / Rob,

PST archived manually with the wizard.

All message classes are marked.

The weird thing is that the report writes Items archived: 0 (of 53524), while all items were archived.

Any other ideas?

Sounds like they were already shortcuts then in the PST file?

What does 'PST archived manually with the wizard' mean?

I've never seen the wizard say NOTHING was archived, when EVERYTHING was archived.. like I said it sounds like they were already shortcuts in the PST file itself.

PST archived manually meaning - opening the PST migrator and browsing to pick the PST file. not using any server/client driven migration.

I will have to check with the customer, he claims that the PST was full of eligble items and no stubs.

I will connect to him to check this.

I believe you should be able to hightlight one of the archived items and open Client Diagnostics.  Then scroll down and find the items archived date in the info screen.  That should tell you for sure if the item was a stub in the PST or it was archive when the migration ran.
