Placeholders on archived files when browsing (one click) going back to original file

Hi,

Does anyone experienced this?

Placeholders on archived files when browsing (one click) going back to original files when using a User account but when using Vault Service Account, no issue.

This is for File System Archiving.

Is there any configuration settings that I missed?

Thanks!

Leandro

Hello Leandro,

I cannot answer, as I have little knowledge on FSA, but do have some additional questions:

Which EV version? Which storage is archived from? With browsing do you mean 'click once in a folder on an EV shortcut', or do you mean actually opening the item? Is it really the item being retrieved, or is the shortcut changing? (i.e. does the size change, indicating a retrieval has happened)? Is the item replaced by a shortcut again eventually?

Added: could it be this: https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/article.100045658

Hi Leandro,

This could be a profile/browser configuration issue.  It much Gertjan pointed out and may be that Details or Preview is enabled in the Browser. When a user clicks on an item or into a folder the browser wants to gather more information about the file to show details.  This triggers a recall since the request is for more data then is contained within the metadata of the placeholder.
