We have a user whose mailbox was accidentally archived..now he has numerous items pending delete with the message class ipm.note.enterprisevault.pending archive
Shortcuts are usually removed after EV Backup has run which will be this weekend.
Is there a way we can prevent these shortcuts being deleted and change the message class back to ipm.note so the mails are NOT removed?
His vault is enabled but these items are NOT going to be affected by the EV policy now applied to his mailbox. Will that revert their message class if an archiving run is done on his mailbox?

Please review the suggestion given in following tech notes.

“How to bulk reset the MessageClass using third party software called "DocMessageClass.exe" for items that are stuck in an archive pending state” http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH49295
