Problem opening outlook shortcuts after upgrading Enterprise Vault 8.0.4 to 9.0.3

Today we bit the bullet and upgraded our Evault to version 9.0.3

since the upgrade (also upgraded the outlook client) we can no longer open shortcuts in Outlook 2007 also if we press the archive explorer button it fails. I have noticed the url it sends you to for archive explorer is the following http://evaultserver// and not http://evaultserver/enterprisevault

im not sure if this is another issue or causing my main problem.

when i try to open a shortcut in outlook i get a banner at the top stating that the item was archived with evault and that there was "an error loading the item -- some functionality may not be available" if i click the banner i get a popup box stating "The web server is available, but is not correctly configurerd for enterprise vault"

I can however manually archive and recover emails from within outlook I can also get to archive explorer if i add enterprisevault between the // in the url it points me to.

i have attached the client log below

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi ya,

so first, please don't paste a long client trace into you post, it makes it extremely difficult to read.  I have attaached it for you as a text file.

Now, to your question.  your default webapp url is set to "DEFAULTWEBAPPURL = http://ta-evsvc-01.rta.local/"

Did you set this in the desktop policy on the advance tab?  If yes, you should either delete it or set it to http://ta-evsvc-01.rta.local/enterprisevault
