Provisioning Group

John_Evers

Hello,

I made a new provisioning group and have auto-enable mailboxes enabled. When i look into de Log i can see that one mailbox has been added, so i thought he was enalbed for archiving but when i check for mailboxes i can manually enabled this mailbox  again, so it seems like that thsi mailbox was not enabled automatically by the provisioning task. Does anyone know what the problem is?

I have seen similar posts here recently.

They are all unsolved AFAIK, so I'd recommend opening a case with Symantec for this, as it could be a bug.

You could however check the following:

- Did you run the Provisioning Task in Normal Mode?

- Did you sync Mailboxes? (Archiving Task -> Synchronize)

- Did you do a "run now" on the Archiving Task?

Cheers

Extract from the V7 Admin Guide -

Note that, if you make Enterprise Vault automatically enable archiving for new
mailboxes, the new archives are created the next time an Exchange Mailbox task
runs. If there is a new mailbox that you want to be archived somewhere other
than the default vault store, you must manually enable archiving for that
mailbox before the Exchange Mailbox task runs. If you do not enable the mailbox
yourself, Enterprise Vault automatically enables archiving for it and creates an
archive in the default location.

The Archiving Task actually does the enabling, the Provisioning Task just "provisions" in that it sets the account up ready to be enabled.
