Good afternoon,
I've been looking through our Enterprise Vault (10) and checking the public folders, to ensure that they're being archived and clearing off Exchange. When I joined this place, I was told that we needed to manually add each new public folder to EV as they were created on exchange; this was only done for the root folder, as new subdirectories were automatically added in EV.
This doesn't appear to be the case for all public folders, and quite a few of them have 20-30 subdirectories; some public folders aren't being archived at all. My questions are:
1) Is there a way to add a top-level public public folder to EV and have it automatically archive subdirectories?
2) Is there a way to have enterprise vault automatically archive every public folder, and automatically include any new additions?
I can't see anything obvious, and I'm feeling a little obtuse.

You can use the Auto-enabler feature for the targets: https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000102512

Hi there, and thank you for your reply.
Do you know what the repercussions would be if we enabled such a policy a the root level, when there are already existing archives that have been manually added?
Russell.

Removing and re-adding a target does not affect the already archived data, so there should be no issue.
