Questions on EnterpriseVault 8.0 / 9.0 upgrade and compatibility with interwoven Worksite / iManage

Hi,

We currently use Enterprise Vault 6.5 for email archiving (Exchange Server 2003) and for documents archiving (Interwoven iManage). I would like you to answer the following questions.

1. Does Enterprise Vault 8.0 / 9.0 archive both Exchange Server 2003 or Outlook 2003 /2007 emails and archive the Interwoven iManage documents? There has to be a link in the users’ Outlook and if they click to open any of the archived emails / documents SEV 8.0 / 9.0 should fetch the documents and show in the console.

1. If SEV 8.0 / 9.0 doesn’t support direct connection with Interwoven iManage, is there any other way achieve this requirement?

1. Does SEV 8.0 / 9.0 supports upgrade from SEV 7.5?

1. What would be the cost of upgrade? (just the upgrade license and no implementation support required)

1. What would be the cost of additional new licenses? (For additional new servers)

1. Does SEV 8.0 / 9.0 supports Outlook Web Access?

1. What are the minimum and recommended hardware requirements for SEV 8.0 / 9.0?

1. Is there a way of limiting the time for synchronization? Say the data should be archived from the Exchange Server and Interwoven iManage on a specific time.

To be honest, most of these questions should be directed at your sales rep from symantec or a partner, especially around pricing and interoperability with interwoven and what not

But for questions 1 & 2 would suggest talking to symantec sales

3 - From EV6 SP5 you will have to upgrade to EV7 then EV2007 then EV8 then EV9
4 - Costing i think is based on how many licenses you have and what you need, you should contact sales
5 - Again a question for sales
6 - EV8 Supports OWA for 2003 and 2007, EV9 adds support for OWA 2010

8 - For archiving you specify times for when it starts and stops. For synchronization you specify a start time and it will synch each mailbox until complete
