Quick question about adding a SSL certificate to the EV server

Hi,

I understand that the SSL certificate is about making OWA trafic more secure - but does adding it to the EV server require any additional setups considering using the archive from outlook or opening archive explorer with a browser? I mean is there a possibility adding the cert will cause the archive starting to ask credentials without some added setup or something? Or does it only really affect the OWA trafic?

Excellent article! Thank you Rob!
Just to be absolutely clear - because there is no links to attachments in shortcuts - the change does not require any special things to be done...?

Centera collection is enabled but that has no meaning for this 'cause there are no links to attachments and there is no need for the "restoreshortcutbody" run...

Pretty sure you'll be okay ...  the main thing is to test it quickly after implementation, before anything new gets archived.

Remember you have to change the stuff in IIS and the EV Site Properties.. and I think you'll need to synch all mailboxes and restart Outlook ... because item retrieval, vault cache sync etc, is all HTTP... and needs to know to switch to HTTPS.
