Re-Activating EV 7.5 Trial - Required License not active

Hi All,
 
I have sucessfully used EV 7.5. i have 4 users who have archived mail. Now the license has been extended by Symantec. ( I have been sent a new .slc file) till they can install the full enterprise suite at my premesis.
I cannot activate the new .slf key  All i get is -:
 
Required License Not Active. A EV License in required :
 
Feature: Enterprise Server Base
Feature Code: EVBase
 
 
All i want to achive is to re-attach attachments for the users as at the moment they are stripped out and in the EVault
 
i have put new .slf in c:\program files\enterprise vault -  it doesnt see it above error
i have put it in installed licenses same error
 
all services are stopped and i get error message about dependancies of i try to manually restart them

What I would do is get a new .slf and try again.  It should not be that difficult.

have you done the following?
 
Replacing licenses and installing additional licenses

Follow the instructions in this section if you have already installed Enterprise Vault and subsequently want to install additional license files or replace existing license files.

To replace a license or install an additional license

  1. Place the new .slf license file in the Enterprise Vault folder (typically C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault).

  2. Restart the Enterprise Vault Admin service.

  3. The service moves any license files it finds in the Enterprise Vault folder to the Installed Licenses folder under the Enterprise Vault folder.

  4. The Admin service writes a license information report message to the event log.

  5. For a multi-server Enterprise Vault deployment, you must repeat the steps on each Enterprise Vault server.

I have tried that, what you have tyoed is the documentation from the installl manual . I am thinkign of just reinstalling EV do you think i can re attached to the vault. All i need to do it retrive attachments for one user around 150 items... i know i could do it manually but would rather get EV working.

I think you are right ill request a duplicate .slf as it might need the same .slf number but extanded. I will restore the users mail in the meantime from BE
