Replacement of EV Database Server

Hi,

We are going to replace our database server which houses the EV database, we are planning on keeping the server name and IP Address the same. Is it as simple as backing up the databases and restoring them onto the new server making sure the EV Domain Account has the same access to the database as it did on the new server?

Thought I would ask.

Yes pretty much what you said. it makes life very easy if you can keep the same name and IP. dont forget to restore everything to the same paths as well.

Yes thats the easiest and best way to do this. It should go trouble free as long as the name and IP's stay the same also the SQL instance name if other than the default
