SQL and builtin reports returns different sizes and items

Hi,

I wonder why I'm getting different numbers between SQL queries results and what's saying usage.asp or ReportServer.

Select query gave me 53163535 MB and 166023562 items

ReportServer for the same database returns 64.67TB and 220549829 items.

Have you got similar issues? In a brief sum(bigint,Saveset.ItemSize) and count(Saveset.IdTransaction) were used in query against main site DB store.

Hi MikeWilc,

The ItemSize in the Saveset table is the size in the vault store and not the original size of the item.  This value is found in the SavesetProperty table as Originalsize.  The savset table also only referenences the DVS files and not the shared parts(DVSSP) that are the larger of two.

The report would be combining all of the data and not just what exists in the saveset table.

Regards,

Patrick
