SSL SAN Certificate Requirements

Hi all

Is there a document that lists the types of SSL \ subject alternative certificates that can be used to secure Enterprise Vault.

Normally I just create a list of the Subject altenative names and the certificate is created by a third party

I have a customer who is requesting the supported certificate types and hashes . ie. Server EKU authorisation, key lengths supported 1024, 2048 etc and hashes of RSA, ECDH_P256, ECDH_P384, and ECDH_P521  for Enterprise Vault

I am trying to find some Symantec article about what type is supported \ reccomended. It will be Windows 2008 R2 and EV 10 but I can not find anything in the docs

well i think thats purely between Internet Explorer and IIS right?
If IE supports it and Windows supports it and IIS supports it, i don't see why there'd be any issue at all, just test in a lab environment i suppose.

I agree but I am looking for some symantec documentation that specifies what types are  supported

I don't think any such documentation exists because it's not for EV to certify, because again its up to windows and IE and IIS to negotiate
