Hi!
Got a quetion related to vmware server and the virtual disks.
I´m planing for an upgrade from ev9 to ev10, and will use server setting mig. wizard. After the wizard export I was thinking of detach the disks that hold the EV partitions and mount the disks on the ev10 server. the NTFS should be ok.
Have anyone done a migration that include moving the virtual disks?

Yeah that will be absolutely fine, just make sure the correct drives are mounted.
One simple trick is to create a file at the very root of the drive after the drive letter... like E.txt
Then when it becomes mounted, you can make sure the right drive has been assigned the right drive letter
but after that you should have no problems at all!
have seen it done multiple times
