Service Account

Hi All

I have installed kvs in stand alone environment. i am logged in as the kvs service account. I have configured outlook for the service acount. I dont see the kvs icons. When i right click mailbox and go to properties and then to the Enterprise Vault TAB, it says this account has been disabled.

Tried to enable the service account thru EV admin console but EV does not list the Service accout either as enable or dissabled.

Any ideas what could be wrong.

don't worry about it. I don;t think the SA is designed to be an archived mailbox itself. It's not enabled so no buttons. Just make sure you clean it out (Out Of Office messages, etc) once in a while.

If you want a log-in that can get to everyone's mailbox then use EVPM to add the permissions (there's a thread on this on UDStech.com)

Suresh - What are you trying to achieve?

The Service account should never be enabled for archiving (hence it's filtered from the list.) You can run EV in a stand-alone environment (even on the Exchange server - although this all-in-one environment is only recommended for demo systems).

Have you tried enabling other user's mailboxes yet?
