Hi All,

Im currently in the process of evaluating FSA and am new to it so learning as I go.

In my reports I recieve the following messages "ShorcutNotCreated" as above.

Im not sure why the Shortcuts are not being created.

I have cleared and set the backup mode several times and ensured that the IgnoreArchiveTrigger.txt is created and gets renamed to .old

I manually clear and set the backup to emulate the backup.

The partition shows

- Check for trigger file every 1 minutes and the Last
- 769 unsecured items since last scan and shows 0 items secured in last scan

I was testing and targeting one share on a File Server and 2 shares on a netapp filer which are set with Read Only permissions. It all seemed to work fine with creating shortcuts and then I was testing its behaviour with some subdirectories of these shares with Offline files could this be the cause?

Thanks

Kris

Resolved this issue myself!

The problem was that I was renaming  IgnoreArchiveTrigger.old manually to .txt

This file need to be deleted and recreated from scratch.

make sure the file is indeed newly written every time. I use

echo. 2>"Driveletter:\Foldername\PartitionName\IgnoreArchiveBitTrigger.txt"

example:

echo. 2>"G:\Enterprise Vault Stores\Sales Store Partition 1\IgnoreArchiveBitTrigger.txt"
