Should EV be able to archive recurring calendar items

Hi Guys, As the title says should EV be able to archive instances of recurring meetings from Outlook if the scheduled meeting reoccurs indefinitely? Will EV ever archive these items even if you have "Archive unexpired calendar items" set to on?

If the recurring calendar item contains at least one instance that is in the future, EV will not archive based on age-based archiving. Will need to set the Archiving Policy under Advanced > Archiving General > Archive Unexpired Calendar Items to ON (default is OFF). Once you set this to on then Ev should archie the recurring appointments

With Archive unexpired calendar events to “On” and Do not archive pending reminders “Off”, there is only one instance of the recurring item which is the creation date. Past recurring items archived can be archived by doing it manually.

I currently have  Archive unexpired calendar events set to “On” and and Do not archive pending reminders set “Off”.

Say I have a recurring appointment which started back in 2004 every week and is going on indefinitely, archiving is set to occur after items reach an age of 1 week.

Are you saying that the previous entries from 2004 - now would not automatically archive and I would need to do this manually?

In regards to your original question...EV should archive expired items unless the policy setting has been changed. In the second paragraph of this KB article indicates...(EV uses the end date. The Last date on which the event is to occur) in order to archive an item.

Therfore unless the policy settings is changed EV will archive expired items.
