Hi,
We are running Symantec Enterprise Vault, as part of Backup Exec 2012 and are having problems starting the Enterprise Vault Storage Service. The service starts for about 20 seconds then stops again.
We get error 7064 logged in the 'Symantec Enterprise Vault' Logs
"
The verification of Partition Network Shares failed.
Info: The server process could not be started because the configured identity is incorrect. Check the username and password. (0x8000401a)
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://evevent.symantec.com/rosetta/showevent.asp
"
I am sure the password has changed on the windows account, but i cannot find anything in the software to change the password.
Regards,
Graham

Have you checked the service itself?
It should have the service account in it. Retype the password there.
Also make sure that the path of th partitions are correctly configured.
make sure that the password will never change for the ev-service account

If you changed the password for the Vault Service Account:
Login to EV server with VSA
Open console
Rightclick "Directory on xxxxxx".
Tab Service Account, change password. When prompted, make sure to restart the services as indicated.

Entrerprise Vault is embedded into Backup Exec 2012 and not the standlone product.

Then it most likely is a backup-exec forum question?

You can start a Dtrace for StorageManagement and StorageServer to see what exactly is happening and why the error is coming up
