Hi,
Having problems with identifing a solution. I have reinstalled enterprise vault, cleared temp files, resetEV, reinstalled outlook but unable to view archived emails. I have created another user on the computer and have no problems in viewing archived emails.
Below is log file of the 2 users:
Good connection:

The operating system is XP SP3 and outlook 2007. What does exchange connection state: 8 do?
Please advise what else I can try. Thanks

is outlook 2007 using Outlook anywhere per chance?
Also if you create them a secondary mail profile (Control Panel -> Mail) does that work?

Outlook 2007. I have added a second profile and it works.

Can you go to their profile and turn off Outlook Anywhere and then see if that works?

Turned off outlook anywhere. Attached is the error message.

Start a new forum thread Thierry, you will get the most help that way.

Try deleting the E-Mail profile and start with a fresh one

If it's just one person then it is most likely an issue with the item(s) in their archive. Are you able to find them using the search page or ArchiveExplorer and if so, what happens when you try to open the items from there? Also, which version of EV do you have installed (both client and server please)?
I'm thinking this might be an item that is no longer in the Archive but we are returning the wrong error code instead of simply reporting that the item has been removed

I have EV8 SP3 server and client.
Using Outlook 2003
We have the problem for only two or thre account (with lot of items for one around 183 000 items)
Other have only around 50 000 items.
In fact when we reinit the cache that works until the user try to upload some items in is Vault.
