Switch Journal Vault Store EV7.5

Hello,

I've been tasked to "switch the Journal Vault Store" for new FY. I'm having trouble finding documentation that specifies how to do this. I've searched the archives but I'm wondering if my termanolgy is not correct. We have a folder titled "Mailbox Vault Store Ptn2" which contains all of the year/month/day folders etc. How do you stop using this store and start using a new store? I was told that we are going to do this every year to seperate the Vault Stores by fiscal years. When you switch them how do you still have access to the old data?

We are using EV7.5 sp4. Any links or advise is greatly appreciated.

Hi

You just create a new Vault Store Partition. You then close the old one and use the new one, that's it.

In EV8, you can even automate this task.

If you want to just create new journal mailboxes procedures on how to do that are in the Enterprise Vault Installing and Configuring guide. Look for Setting up Exchange Server archiving - Setting up archiving of journaled messages.
