Symantec Enterprise Vault, Compliance Accelerator and Discovery Accelerator 2007 Service Pack 2

Hi,

Service Pack 2 for Symantec Enterprise Vault 2007, Symantec Compliance Accelerator 2007 and Discovery Accelerator 2007 are now available for download from the Enterprise Support site: http://entsupport.symantec.com/docs/294152

SP2 for Enterprise Vault 2007 should be considered a recommended update as it includes a number of improvements to indexing. 

This release also includes a new utility to assist with migrations from Lotus Domino messaging environments to Microsoft Exchange.  The utility can be used to update shortcuts originally created by a Lotus Domino archiving task, that now reside in an Microsoft Exchange server mailbox.

To follow up, we've noticed an error in the release notes documentation (Updates_EN.htm).

That document mentions that Outlook 2003 Service Pack 3 is supported as a client.

Unfortunately, this is not currently the case and as per the compatibility chart (http://entsupport.symantec.com/docs/276547) Outlook SP3 is not supported for use with the Enterprise Vault client.

Ouch - still no support for Exchange 2007 SP1?

I had been told that it would be included in this servicepack so that is what I have told my customers and planned for as well. Doing some searches on this forum also tells me that I'm not the only one to have received this promise.

Is there a new estimate on when this will arrive?

To answer my own question and help others that might be in the same situation as myself: The support for Exch SP1 is in the final testing and should be expected shortly.

So what is shortly? I guess we will see but it could be as soon as next week I've been told.- no promises though...

Update yet again for the interested - The supported products list has been updated on January the 25th and

Exchange sp1 is now officially supported together with EV2007 SP2.

That's good news, we are getting ready to roll out SP1 for 2007. 

I did have one question about this though, when I go to the compatability list link: http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/276547.htm

It still shows last updated Jan 9th, and the SP1 cert as pending.  Where did you find the updated compatability list?

Actually, by using the very same link that you listed so it must be that we arrive att different webservers for some reason..
