Did you mean:

The user does not have permission to GetTransactionLogSize

Moved the SQL databases for our EV 12 this morning, following the steps in the how-to (100016654).

They were on SQL Server 2012 before. Now they are on SQL Server 2016.

EV seems to be working OK but there are new errors in the Veritas Enterprise Vault log on all EV servers, e.g.
Log Name: Veritas Enterprise Vault
Source: Enterprise Vault
Date: 25/07/2019 15:08:02
Event ID: 13360
Task Category: Storage Management
Level: Error
Keywords: Classic
User: N/A
Computer: xyz-EV3.luht.scot.nhs.uk
Description:
An error was detected while accessing the Vault Database 'EVVSabcEV1VaultStore_3' (Internal reference: {CADODataAccess::ExecuteSQLCommand} [d:\builds\16_\ev\v-m-s\sources\source\common\adointerface\adodataaccess.cpp, lines {1326,1328,1347,1365}, built Nov 1 13:10:58 2018]):

Description:

The user does not have permission to perform this action.

SQL Command:
usps_GetTransactionLogSize

Additional Microsoft supplied information:

Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Number: 0x80040e14
SQL State: 42000
Native Error: 00000297
HRESULT 0x80040e14

They all seem to be about GetTransactionLogSize.

Is this something to worry about?

The EV Service account has db_owner on all the EV databases that were moved.

Thanks for reading this.

The command using this is attempting to do something that is normally a maintence task that DBOs do not have access to. You need elevated permissions on SQL. See this: https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/article.100018100.html
