This issue is caused by a slash being added to the 'InstallPath' entry in the registry during the FSA agent installation. An Event ID 40987 will be seen showing that no items were archived. The entry is in the following location:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Install This can be seen in a Dtrace of the EvFsaArchivingTask on the EV server. Resolution:
To resolve the issue remove the slash at the end of the line for the 'InstallPath' by performing the following steps.1. Go to Start | Run type regedit and click OK. 2. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Install 3. Right-click on InstallPath and click Modify.4. In the Value data field remove the slash '\' at the end of the line and click OK. 5. Close the Registry Editor and restart the Enterprise Vault Admin Service.
